Lightbulb Retrofit paddle-shift possible on BMW X1 F48 B37 with Leather Sport steering wheel ?

hi all,
i have seen that there are (not too expensive) options for older generation of X1 (E84) ... i have just purchased X1 25d which is only one year old, nicely equipped but without paddle-shifters.
Does anyone know if it is possible to add the afterwards, and if yes where/how/what to purchase ?

I've found paddleshifters for 400$ roughly but my guess is they are replacement parts for cars that already have them.

Thanks in advance !

You can code the gearbox to sport auto settings, that I do know & there are people on the 3 series forum who have added & coded the paddles as well.

hi Simon, thanks - yes i have seen those (as well as older X1 series posts) but have no clue which parts I'd need to buy ... so i was hoping to find someone who has done or knows what needs to be done.
Lot of good sides with parts both in Europe and USA but not certain what to do/buy

Anyone retrofitted paddles? I'm purchasing a 2018 X1 and I would like to have paddles.

I can get the proper steering at getbmwparts.com but I need the coding?

Thank you
