Non RFT Tires

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hello. I have a 2017 X1 with 30k. Its time to replace the P7 RFTs. I need something all season that is quiet, smooth and has decent handling aspects. My focus has been on Grand Touring tires. Based on TireRack's reviews, the obvious choice seems to be a Yokohama AVID GT. Has anyone tried them or have another suggestion?

Thank You

I can't comment on the tires in relation to the X1.. but I put those tires on the family minivan last season with no complaints. I was told it was the number one seller. I did not drive them through the winter, but did run into a storm or two before I switched to my winter tires, and also did not have any issues. They probably did 5K ish on the tires and showed no measureable wear when I put them back on last month.

I have a 2018 and replaced the Goodyear Eagle Sport runflats with Goodyear Assurance Comfort tread touring tires and they are much quieter and smoother. I couldn't go back to a runflat after these. Drove them in 8 inches of snow and heavy rains and am very happy with the performance.

I replaced my RFT P7s with non-RFT P7s. Good price, better ride, quieter and similar grip/handling. Had they been available in the right sizing for my 18" wheels, I would have probably switched to Michelin Pilot Sport 4 as I have them on another car and think they're great
