I wish we could see an actual B46 dyno chart. If I go for the tune upgrade I will try to find an AWD dyno and do a pull before and after.

**Update** Dinan replaced the module I had with the correct one. Works perfectly, and incidentally, feels a little stronger too! Very happy with it!

could this lead to warranty issues? Assuming once removed it’s use is not detectable?

Any specials going on now?

You should be fine as long as you remove it before your dealership visit.

Forum member pricing?

Hey is the special pricing still available?
Thanks!!

Also, curious if anyone knows how/if the Dinan Sport Tuner (SKU: D440-0012) regulates xDrive in the 2018 X1 (F48)?

X1's are by default FWD when the clutch is fully open, and the DSC system regulates the torque distribution to the rear axel depending on conditions, drive mode, etc.

Does the Dinan tuner force more power to the rear wheels for a more sporty drive? And if so, does it somehow regulate the DSC to control the torque distribution?

Thanks in advance to you savvy individuals who know these things.

No it's just strictly boost pressure intervention.

For what it's worth after ~1.5 years of use, I got a P12A8 code (boost pressure too low) caused by a number of possible things including electric circuit errors. Uninstalled and probably won't reinstall. Need at least 1 reliable BMW in the family https://www.autocodes.com/p12a8_bmw.html

Does the code go away with the unit removed? Please update this thread with the outcome.

Yes. It could have been a one off error. But just a heads up you will want to have a code reader/clearer. I recommend a vgate ELM327 bluetooth 4.0 adapter and Torque Pro. Or wifi if you have an iphone.

For what it's worth the change is very noticeable. Feels like the way it should have come from the factory.

Hey guys. New to this forum. I’ve got a 2017 X1 M sport. I’ve had the Dinan device added for almost a year now. It’s getting increasingly finicky and has been throwing the codes above and going into transmission limp mode. Any thoughts?
