Which fog lights?

I bought two different sets of fog lights on Amazon.

The first ones are LED. They're bright and look amazing, here is the link:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N5BAWYK..._26VZxb9DG15K4

The second set i bought are halogen and they also look pretty nice, but they don't fully match the headlights.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y1O2MIE..._A-VZxbWX948EX

My question is: will the fog light housing get burned or melt because of the LEDs? Or should I not worry? I already coded the fog light warning to not show with the LEDs.

Thanks!

I think you'll find that the led's run cold. The only problem I've had in the past was when the led lamps were next to the high beam halogen lamps and the led's would drop off! Not a problem you'd have with the fog lamps.

Were these straight plug'n'play, without CANBUS errors, or did you have to fit resistors?

I had to do some coding to remove the fog light bulb monitoring

Could you please share that coding, if possible. I'm not reluctant to code, but I don't have a Wimdows laptop

I thought that had been disproven (but maintained in some legislation to limit the risk of output/glare). Best fog vision effectiveness is achieved, not by the light colour, but by a spread pattern that enables the driver to see the edges of the road and lane line marking.

For a non led solution, I have used GP Thunder 7500 on several of my BMW'S and they are a great match for the xenon and led headlight color. Same wattage just a tinted lens for the white color.

Supposedly you can use these instead of coding to fool the car into thinking the LEDs are halogens

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-H11-H8-L...QAAOSwRoxXnuav

However... what ebay items say and what they do is often completely different!

Compatibility matrix in the listing suggests only E84 not F48 too!

Are these the Sirius H8 LEDs that you linked earlier? Did you have to modify the fog light housing to have the LEDs fit properly?
