260 miles into the drive home and the standard seats are fine for me despite the concern from others.

Hi ando, Great pics! Congrats!

I'm also in the market right now and based in DFW area. If I understand correctly, the production is in Germany? And I can still do PCD?, meaning that I can purchase at any dealer who offers the best deal in the States and pick it up at PCD? If yes, I may consider flying up there. Or can they deliver it to your local dealer or to your home, too?

If you don't mind, could you tell me what kind of deal did you get?

Thanks!

Yes, I believe US customers can do PCD on most if not all BMWs. I highly recommend it. I have a great relationship with CA and I hope you can find one that you like as well. You may also want to search for an Ultimate Drive Experience where you can gain a $1,000 rebate.

Thanks ando.

My wife and I did UDE last year in DFW area but $1000 already expired. And I don't think they do UDE this year unfortunately. Since my wife was on BMW financing to pay owner's choice for her Mini, I wonder if there is any loyalty program that gives her a discount on the vehicle purchase. Will search for all possible opportunities to lower the price!

Another week into X1 ownership and I like this ride. Interior much better than my old X3. Even though I didn't get the Premium option (which I regret) I noticed the ambient lighting lines in each of the doors at night. Brakes are stronger than I expected and even in a pot hole city the car has a nice feel.

I am also just one week into X1 ownership and I am really impressed (this is my first BMW). I REALLY like the HUD - this is the future. I was out yesterday and wanted to try the Satnav but had already started driving - I have voice control so I thought I would give it a try but we have a really awkward address for recognition - never fear, the system got it second attempt and then "Start Guidance" - top marks

Yes I wished I got HUD as well. Awesome feature for this fine ride.

Yeah HUD is impressive, I was at first distracted by it and questioning its usefulness. However once you get used to it it fades away and is awesome. Having the speed limit, your speed, speed limiter/cruise speed setting, telephone contacts and audio information right in front of you is great. Never really look at speedo or Nav screen!
