2019 X1 70K+ Miles What To Look Out For

I may be buying a 2019 X1 with just over 70k miles. Found what seems like a good deal at a non-BMW but reputable Honda dealer near me. It has a clean CarFax with regular maintenance. No major repairs/replacements. Just a battery replaced and tires of course. I would hope the brakes are replaced but will need to check on depth when I visit the dealer. What major items would be needed around this mileage? Any common failures at or north of 5yrs old and 70k miles? How often are spark plugs needed?

Thanks!

You would want to check if the engine mounts have been done, they’re quite a big deal on the F48. at that mileage you’d want to check the shocks as well. As for the brakes, if the depth is close to the limit it will appear on the iDrive to remind you to get that done.

Have the engine mounts been updated for 2019 model year? Or are the the same as those in 2016-2018 F48?

New part number with modification is on the market. So I assume 2019 will be mounted with new part number.

For the spark plugs I will just change by myself as they are not expensive if you buy from auto parts store not from the dealer.

Another thing to mention is whether you want to have CarPlay in the future. If you want CarPlay later you can check out the vin number with the experts on this forum.

They can help you whether CarPlay can be activated or not.

Oil filter housing/cooler is plastic and will fail. Replace with aftermarket aluminum when it fails. The part is 130$ vs. 750$ OEM

From my understanding the engine mounts have since been revised. the latest part number available on realOEM is 22118743621 and realOEM was last updated December 2019. The latest part number is 22118835566 (worth mentioning this is the 4th revision ) which I believe was in 2021.
