I still think the F430 at WOT is just a sweet, raw sound.

It's so invasive, i feel like i've been used. Drove behind a Scuderia 430 about a month ago, and at idle the thing is just MEAN.

Need to listen from 1:05 onwards.

Apart from that, the 328GTS Ferrari will forever be one of my favourite V8 sounds, and the F40 is always in my heart.

Idk how the hell I forgot about this Challenge Stradale. It sounds best when you can't see it. It's got Tubi straight pipes, Capristo Stage 3, Tubi headers, and GruppeM intake.

V12 - just incredible!

CGT is also SO SWEET!!!

LF-A pretty good, but I would expect more from a car overall after 10 years of development. Kind of disappointing when you consider that the McLaren MP4-12 has much more technology, costs less and I'm sure will kick it's butt.
In this club, I'm looking for all out performance, not just a low volume specialty car.

Got to agree with OP, LFA >CGT>Zonda>Ferrari

PS: who ever thinks the GT-R is the best sounding v6 is smoking the good stuff.

I know this thread could lead to some heated debates, but you have to admit, one great thing about this thread is that it is filled with videos of the best automotive sounds ever.

+1. Very nice thing that in this thread everybody is open and shares their subjective but all good tastes and opinions to others with many nice sound vids.

Here one of my favorite I6. I already posted it once.

Yes I did talk about stock sound. But anyway, what sounds good modded is because stock is does not sound badly. Do you think a modded VW Golf GTI will sound good? Never. (I have nothing against VW Golf GTI, it was just an example of a Turbo 4 Cylinder.)

in this entire thread ive seen only 2 mentions of honda (the nsx and s2000)...

pretty sure theyre arguably the best engine manufacturer in the world...

how about the HSV-010GT...(albeit, not yet production...but "production ready")...one of the most incredible engine notes I have ever heard...not to mention its NA 500hp V8 and should hand the lexus its @$$

Sounds like a mean swarm of killer bees
I agree with you 100%. I've always thought that Honda was one of the top 3 engine builders in the game with BMW and Ferrari. The difficulty for Honda is that their bread and butter is 25k cars where as BMW and Ferrari are given much more lead way to build expensive engines. But all bean counting aside, i've always thought that Honda could build engines with anyone. I just hope that the next NSX is a proper one (even though it wont be mid engined).

You may want to re-read the thread because "everyone" posting Ferrari V8's was actually just one person and only two videos.

in stock form, LFA #1.

those straight pipe carerra gt sounds good, but kinda obnoxious instead of refine/smooth for a street car. I think the carrera gt stock exaust sounds better than those straight pipes.
