edit : I will ponder it, I didn't even think about the fact that no warranty is available on a used unit. Also found out I or anyone else wont need anything just plug and play, may need a firmware update.

You should contact Dinan. I could be wrong but I seem to recall reading that you can still get a warranty for a smallish fee.

I called, they told me there is no way to transfer the warranty. However I've heard from some people that they have paid a fee to transfer it so I'm not sure.
