Inside hatch opening - what goes here?

So, I bought this X2 used, year is 2018. Question is, what goes here? Anything?
  • I've found that it "might" be for a safety triangle that doesn't come standard in US?
  • I've also read that "most" BMWs come with some sort of tool kit, does that go here?
  • In the second pic, there seems to be some pull tabs, is that a safety release for the trunk?

tools (screwdriver, tow hook) are behind a panel on the left side facing the rear of the car near the floor. I don't believe anything goes in any part of the hatch itself. You may be missing some covers.

Thanks. Yeah, I found the tow hook. I didn't find a screwdriver in there though. I really wish they just left this open, like the other side. I need just a few more inches to fit golf clubs without taking driver out of the bag and this might allow for a better fit.

The warning triangle goes there. It looks like you don't get it in the US. Weird
