Some aspects look pretty great. I know they're taking on the Evoque with this model, but did they really have to straight up copy the wheels? Especially on the debut. SMH.

If the M1 had a goofy part to it, it's those duplicate roundels facing in the same direction.

I think they were going more for this tribute:

If you look carefully at the camo spy shots, it will look nothing like this?

Two thoughts

1. sad car! Grilles are upside-down and that makes it look sad. Wider part of the rims should be on the upper part.

2. Very evident that BMW is trying to copy the AUDI Q2 designing style....

I'm sure BMW would call it something like "Ascari red" ...

Sunburst orange and the bright blue also rock.

Sweet !

As a German, I can tell you we love minimalism and a clean design. Germans love a sleeper that doesn't give off its hand right away.
This vehicle looks cheap and loud like an attention seeking girl at a club with 10lbs of make up on and sequins and glitter all over.
true that. Is a good looking car (except for the rear) but it doesn't look like a bmw

I'm a little bit afraid when I look at the overall shape of this concept, that the production version will be very similar to a Land Rover Evoque, and won't have an own BMW shape... But all in all, not bad!
The inverted twin kidney grille is the new face of the BMW X models.
The next X3 gets the same sharp face and detailing.

Is this a move due to differentiation?
Why turn it upside down,i get that the kidney could be less elegant and more macho on the X models, but upside down?

Finally BMW design language getting out of the comfort zone. Good job BMW. Hope the production version stays close to the concept.

BMW needs to commit to the high performance transverse powertrain like these two are. If you are going in, go all in.
I think yo mean the GLA I agree though, about the power concerns. BMW need "T" variants of the B48 and B58 ASAP!

I like the "x" in the headlights, and the graphics on the rear lights. Too bad those are one of the things that won't make it. Probably standard bulbs all over the rear, a la BMW.

And how the exhaust its integrated to the bumper looks cool too. But, you know..won't make it either.

When did black plastic body panels come back in vogue? I thought we left those behind in the 90's??

I still don't get the appeal of these cars. And this doesn't inspire or inform me any more.
