Break service light

Hello,

I have 2018 BMW X1.
Few weeks ago Front break pad replace service light came on and last week another light came on (Service request: Drive moderately. Replace pads. Consult service center). See attached pics.

Today I replaced front break pad and sensor. After replace, both lights are still on. Do I need reset the warning light(if so how?) or does light go away automatically.

Any adviser appreciate.
Thank you,

Hi there,

Yes, you need to reset the service indicator. You can do it using BimmerLink APP (way easier) or reset it using the cluster.

This is an extract from ZZZZ from this post: https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1781907

Quote:
Turn on the ignition (press the start button, but do NOT apply the brake). The instrument cluster should light up. Now hold the trip reset button in the lower-left corner of the dash for 10 seconds. You should now see the different service indicators that can be reset.

Long press (3 seconds) means yes. Short press means no.

You will need to hold down the button while the reset is in progress, wait for the "RESET SUCCESSFUL" message.
