The interior is what really needed an update not the exterior

It looks nice, the grill looks good too (see BMW? when the grill is not huge, it looks good!), although I still don't like the kidneys to be connected..but still, it does look good
the white part in the rear lights looks a bit.. odd.. I wish they kept the old rear lights.. LCI doesn't mean you have to change everything Overall, a very nice looking SUV ![]() ![]() I took both pictures from netcarshow Last edited by L27; 05-28-2019 at 09:35 PM.. |

They did it again. Took a perfectly good looking X1 and made it ugly with their new corporate image humongous grill.

The smallest X model grill they make is still too big... The next gen BMW SUVs will lose to audi and merc big time with these horrendous design.

Where are you seeing this? I was hoping for some update to the nav/infotainment but this is the most official sounding thing we've got and it still says 8.8... it definitely does look bigger in these pics than the old 8.8 though! I hope you're right!

Why would they give it all that before the x3?

Looks like you might be right on this. The "future vehicle" page says it has a standard 8.8" screen, so the upgrade should be the 10.25" one! https://www.bmwusa.com/future-vehicl...le/bmw-x1.html

Found a picture on BMW's website of the M-Sport front fascia. Looks like Misano Blue is now available on the X1. I think it looks a little too similar to the X5's front end and doesn't match the vehicle as well.
For the first time ever, I think I like the X-Line's appearance over M-Sport.

Im ok with a new gril, but as ppl already mantioned:
-no digital dash -no autohold and interior looks dated comparing to the new 1 series. It is a strange LCI, and to be honest - I would chnage mine for the LCI for free, but not willing to pay anyhing for the corporate style change and couple of tweaks. |

I prefer the look of the pre-LCI. The 2017 X1 I currently own is the best all around practical vehicle I've ever had. Going to keep it a long long time.
I would like those slightly larger exhaust tips on the LCI though. Any ideas yet if those can be swapped out? Are they clip ons that can be pulled off like the F25 X3? |

New front looks nice, but that's all that LCI really is. No regrets at all for buying the pre-LCI, especially if they bump up the price much for this.

Best part of the refresh is the new shifter.
