Modifying wireless charger

So my Galaxy S20 doesn't fit in the wireless charger base. I noticed that there are two stops on each side (circled in the photo) if I were to cut those out, will the slider go back further to fit my phone?

Replacing the slider is the standard approach, the 3D replacement works well
