F48 instrument cluster

Hi guys, my F48 has a few small cracks at the bottom of the front cover of the instrument cluster. Was wondering if anyone knows whether the cluster assembly ( pictured ) can have the front cover removed.
There are a few cheap units on fleabay for sale I could buy for this little repair. Thanks

Whole cluster can be swapped as well but needs virginizing.

few questions guys, but before.... note that I need only the front glass of the cluster. Idea is to just swap front glass from the purchased cluster for mine, which has cracks.

Prior to unplugging the cluster I will disconnect the neg. terminal of the battery. There wont be any errors, right?

Last question, I have found some well priced & good shape clusters on fleebay. They do however come from a F20.
To me they look identical, pls see pictures. Will the frint glass fit to my F48?
The print on the plastic has matching numbers.

Thanks

Did you check real oem?

If you find the part on real oem it will also say which other cars have the same part number. If it's the same my guess is the glass is probably the same too

How bad is yours cracked?

just got it fixed. F21/2/3/4, f46/8 all have tge same cluster. Managed to get one in excellent condition and removed tge fron cover.
Biggest pain is the static dust removal prior to assembly

Your advice greatly helped to open up more options to find the cluster in right condition. Appreciate it!
