The beginning of this week was cold enough to require gloves to work outside. Never got out of the low 40's. Today it's going to hit 80F. Love autumn in central IL.

In the Pacific Northwest, our unusual protracted summer abruptly ended yesterday. Finally our October rains arrived. Hopefully this ends the fire danger and helps put out the active wildfires. Forecast highs for next week are mid/upper 50s.

Huge downpour overnight had the roof gutters over flowing a bit but has turned into a nice day now with a little sun and about 18C,ripe for a bike ride.

Looks like I was right..been in the upper 70s all weekend along with it being the same temps until Wednesday when the temp is supposed to drop back down to 58.

Too warm for me this weekend to be honest. It was the in-between temp to where its not hot enough for the AC but also not cool enough for the windows to be open. Towards the end of yesterday...was pushing about 80 outside and 75 inside, I told my wife..f it....I turned on the AC and was much happier.

Cool weather is my happy place! No one has time for warm temps when it's the fall! lol

I am currently in my home office and it's 46 outside and my window next to me is open. lol.

Last day of the freaky late summer weather. Near 80F again today, but then rainy and back to seasonal norms tomorrow.

Woke to a stiff breeze from the north. 60 and down to 30%. Had to wear a jacket with a shell to stop that blowing thru.

A wee bit chilly this morning for my run. I have to be at the BMW dealership for 7:30 to get my snow set-up installed.

Supposed to get up to 75 and sunny all day. So the kids should have nice weather for Halloween. Unfortunately we don't get many trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood.

Seems modern parents are either too scared or too lazy to do anything but trunk-or-treats, which just seems so incredibly lame to me.

Overnight we had water falling from the sky, jst enough to make the raods extremely slick this morning. At about 2:30 this morning the sheriff issued a freeze warning. Right now winds are blowing 30, gusts to 45. 63 with wind chill down to 63.

Winter is coming!!!

75 Fahrenheit here in MN today which is a new record high for Nov 2nd. Previous record was 72 set back like 30 years ago. By end of next week looks like highs will be half of what we are seeing today. Time to switch over to the all season tires/rims set. Well, after a few more rips over the next couple days

I've been up to Calabogie a few times and imagine that 60s °F in November is unusual, no?

On one visit to Calabogie in mid-August, it was 42 °F in the middle of the day while raining very hard with a stiff breeze. I had to buy some outwear or freeze!

Very unusual, about 20°F above the norm.

If it reach 70°F Saturday it will be almost 30°F above the norm. Not complaining
