I've smoked joints with my dad at concerts and stuff too. My fiance's parents were super, super strict when she was growing up. But the last time she went to Florida she smoked weed with her dad too.

Last time they visited us I went and bought a nice bottle of Bourbon and her dad and I just sat and chatted and had some drinks.

Do your parents still treat you like a child even though you're an adult? That seems way more strange to me.

No, ofc not, but if you think smoking blunts and getting hammered w your parents is being an adult, then count me as forever immature.

Oh come on, I didn't say THAT was being an adult. But I don't see the big deal with having some drinks with your parents or in-laws.

That's something totally different: we need to focus on the actual issue at hand. Having drinks is nothing/perfectly fine, but getting hammered? I dunno man...we definitely grew up differently. You sure she's not your stepmom?

I was entertained by Elvis, I realize that it dates me but I remember as an 8-10 year old in St. Louis, my father taking the family to see Elvis in concert. As a young man, it made quite the impression hearing the girls scream as he performed. The movie was colorful, well shot and an interesting perspective narrated by Tom Hanks as Col. Parker.

Another vote for Fall, it's a low budget movie but it was quite riveting for what it is....

Just watched All Quiet On The Western Front on Netflix. Was a good watch and was another movie to make me thankful to live in the times I do.

Watched this last night. Very creepy and unsettling at times. So if you like Horror, look no further. That being said, the ending pissed me off.

Too bad the ending pissed you off.

I'm hoping to enjoy the whole movie.

Nice crime/gangster flick. Felt like I was watching a play.

Thought this was a thoroughly enjoyable film, but I do have a bias toward Guy Ritchie movies. Stylish, well scored, fun.

Watched the early 90s movie Fire in the Sky.

Wow, probably the most realistic representation of what would actually happen during an alien abduction. Assuming you believe in such things that is.

I'll never forget when I saw The Big Lebowski in the theaters with my dad. We were the only ones in the entire theater laughing, nobody got it at the time. I was in tears at certain moments in the film, had people looking at us like we were weird, several people walked out, etc. Now it's a cult favorite, it really is interesting how it takes some things time to flourish and be accepted. I didn't really get Pulp Fiction when it came out for instance, but now it's one of my favorite movies of all time just behind Jackie Brown.

As for the new John Wick, I'm not excited to see that one. Maybe I'm getting soft, but the thought of seeing another 200+ graphic upclose headshots really ain't my thing. Found myself wincing quite a bit through the 3rd installment, the violence really really got old to me. It's one thing when poor Marvin gets shot in the face not knowing if God really did come down from heaven and stopped that bullet, it's another thing to see Marvin take that shot 200+ times in 90 minutes.

I've been sticking with the HI-YA! channel on Amazon. I love the Korean gangster movies. This movie was incredibly dope!
