Aftermarket wheel offset

I’m looking at changing the wheels on my 2016 X1 from factory 18 x 7.5 ET52 to 18 x 8 ET32. Using an offset calculator, the wheel will be 13mm further from the suspension / strut and 26mm further out of the wheel well than factory. According to the wheel website these will fit my car, but do they take into consideration factory fitment when they make such a claim (it’s a national chain)? What issues could I face with the difference in offset, if any?

32mm offset is a bit aggressive, I would recommend not going beyond 38 otherwise your wheels/tires are going to be sticking out beyond the fender line. Unless that's the look you're going for I'd recommend a 40mm offset for the wheel width you are looking at.

Garage List
I have 15mm spacers on my stock 569 wheels due to having a 3" lift, which in effect creates new offset of ET36. Sits right at the fender line. So an ET32 would be just a notch past. Not sure about rubbing issues at stock height though. Lifted and put the spacers on at the same time. Never ran them at stock height.
