New 2018 face lift colour
Am moving from an Audi Q3 s line plus to the new BMW X1 m-sport and am struggling to get any dealers in the UK to have more than one colour in stock....
You can look online till blue in the face but nothing substitutes seeing it in person and I find the BMW configuration tool doesnt represent colours such as misano blue correctly.... Any ideas if I cant get them side by side best way of choosing? think i nailed it to either misano blue | storm bay or mineral grey |

I had the same problem when I ordered mine could not show me the storm bay or misano blue but finally went for the mineral grey with oyster interior. Finally pick it up next weekend. Beagler on this forum has posted pictures of the m sport in storm bay and there are YouTube vids showing the mesano blue. What made you go for an X1 instead of the new Q3. Good luck with your choice.

This is another shot in different light. It looks like a blueish tinge sometimes as here else it looks grey. This shot has it with wrong plates which dealer messed up.
Really like the colour.

Mineral grey is quite common on many BMW models so perhaps you can find a 3 series, or 2 series in that colour to give you a good idea. Misano Blue is on the X2s so perhaps you could find one?
I did this colour choosing process for months between MG and MB! Luckily my dealership had an X2 in MB, but not in MG. In then end I chose MG (which I saw on several other BMW models), as I felt Misano was just too bright (and also not metallic looking enough until you came close to it). Tis a good colour though but just didn't know how I'd feel about it in years to come.

hi just seen in person an x1 in misano blue and storm bay and decided to be a little different and go for misano blue I've had a black Q3 2.0 TDI quattro for the past 3 years and even tho the tech is much better now I didnt feel like it would have been a new car. And the wifey a grey A1 therefore wanted something a little different Last edited by redroberts; 09-08-2019 at 03:12 AM.. |

The grey looks different under fluorescent lights. . If you compare the photo of mine at the backend above and the grey in the showroom they look different colours. Need to look in sunlight outside really

Jurano Metallic
I took delivery of my new face lifted X1 on 22nd August. The colour jurano metallic and based choice on that of a Active Tourer 218 , however when received it looked a shade or two darker....but still OK. So beware. It is a Sport sDrive2.0i with sunroof, most packages. Very happy with car and particularly impressed with Sat Nav Plus. Seem to have penny pinched on some things...no automatic rear seat lowering, no extra storage in rear armrest...

My mineral grey looks almost exactly like the picture in Voicyboy's post...but absolutely nothing like Beagler's!
But of course much depends on your camera's white balance when the photo is taken.... but even so Beagler's picture looks so blue!

Thank you! Looks great. I wasn't sure how different it was going to be from the Platinum Silver but in the sun I can see it's a bit lighter in shade with more gold in it vs PSM which tends a bit more brownish. Good choice!

I didn’t see any Misano Blue X1, but I saw a couple of X2 and IMHO the colour simply doesn’t work.
Form a distance it looks like a pastel colour and the hue is more suitable for a french racing cars than for an Msport BMW. IMHO they should have kept the Estorilblau or add the Portimao blue that is available for the series 3. If I had to pick one colour from the current palette my choice would be either Mineral White or Storm Bay. |
