I have a box of 10 unused N95 masks with the respirator. If you or anyone else at your hospital needs them, I can ship them to you.

It's a leftover box from when Harvey hit Houston and I spent a couple weeks helping friends/family gut houses.

There ARE still humans left. While it is an inherent risk for me, I’d much rather see these get put to use for the people that need it more than me in a higher risk situation. Rmtt ’s daughter is at a higher risk than I being in the ICU. I suggest they get forwarded on to her.

Thank you...best wishes to you as well. It's been scary. My dad just got out of 5.5 weeks of hospital and rehab stay for kidney failure.

He's in his 3rd week of hemo-dialysis in the clinic, but has to be very careful. He's told me that they still have masks to "hook" him up.....but hasn't asked how their supplies were.

I applaud as well. Fortunately talking with my daughter, she says they still have supplies....so those masks would benefit others more.

In her unit, they have a certain amount of beds....and very limited visiting hours.

But I'm sure there are those on here that are more in need.

That's a generous gesture of you EricVR4

They're free to whoever needs them!

Otherwise I'll donate to a hospital in Houston. I have a lot of nurse/doctor friends that I'm sure could use them. I wish I had more than 10 since those won't go that far, but they're not doing any good sitting in a closet.

I think we are fine with truck capacity for now. Even though the economy was doing well, freight levels have been low so plenty of capacity. What we need is less morons in government. PA closed truck rest areas yesterday. I get closing the buffets in the restaurants in the truck stops but what moron thought it made sense to close the parking areas? Where the hell are these guys supposed to stop to sleep? On the shoulder of the highway?

On a good note - I found eggs and meat.

EDIT - The closed areas seem to be the rest areas with restrooms but no fuel, food and not the true truck stops - Pilot, Truck Stops of America kind of places are still open for business.

I had read some reports about grocery stores in other areas reserving Monday to Friday from 7 to 9 a.m. for vulnerable shoppers such as senior citizens, pregnant women, and those with compromised immune systems.

I'm hoping to see them do something similar here.

Truck capacity is probably fine for normal demand but I suspect they can’t keep up with the incessant demand for certain products. Giant packages of toilet paper take a lot of space.

Went to my local Publix this morning... strategically chose one away from downtown and I went very early (9 AM)... they had just about everything (first time I saw chicken in like a week) except of course, you guessed it... Toilet Paper

Is there a black market of toilet paper starting now or something lol?

Although there is higher demand for food, water, toilet paper, medical supplies think about what's not moving. All the retail stores have closed. Macy's, Nordstrom's, J Crew, etc etc. Ikea shut their stores. The trucking companies that normally handle these loads have trucks to divert to other commodities. You may have pockets of difficulty in some areas but there are plenty of trucks. A few of the brokers are being fear mongers but overall, we are not having a problem getting trucks to move loads.

Had to get the wife's prescription today at Safeway. Picked up some eggs, chicken and bread while I was there. Limit to 1 dozen eggs but otherwise OK.

Oh, TP is non-existent. Gonna have to go Arab and wipe with the left hand. Don't reach into the communal food with your left hand or sparks ignite.

Wonder how they'll know if you really are someone who should be in the store from 7-9am with a precondition?

That would be the hard one. And I'm sure some people will try and take advantage of it.

Are people actually wiping their asses with Clorox and Lysol wipes? Why else would someone even think of flushing those down the toilet?
