255/35/R19 vs 255/30/R19

Looking for new tyres for the 335 as the rears are shot. Currently it has 255/30/R19's on it, but if you go 255/35, then there seem to be a much greater set of options to choose from. (seem to be cheaper too).

Does anyone else use the 35 tyre? Any issues?

Yes, it will throw your speedo as the radius is different. There's a calculator that shows the % if you Google it. For E9x, 35 is For 18's. Hence the size of the MV3's

I'd stick those into a tyre calculator and see what it will do to your Speedo reading first

35s on the front 30s on the rear. I have Goodyear F1s on the back & am very happy with them. Is up to you, but don't go buying cheap tyres for it

I use 255 35 19 on my e93 335i, no issues. You could also use 265 30 19 if you wish..

Does it make any difference on handling if you go from 30 to 35 on rear?

It's too large a percentage difference going to 35 profile. I'd stick to the correct profile but go to 265 width.

I ended up sticking with the 30 profile. Managed to get 4 MPSS tyres in OECsizes for £640 delivered. Can't wait for them!!!
