Snow Chains or Cables for X1

Hi,
I just bought my first BMW and this is my first post. Does anyone have specific recommendations for snow chains or cables that fit the 2016 X1 with 225/45 R19 tires... Thank You

As mentioned before Thule Summit K44 are the only ones that will fit with 19" wheels, had to buy them as well, expensive but they work and are great quality

I've got a set of "Spider Spikes"...they cost a ton, but you can find em for pretty cheap on Craig's List cheap when someone sells their car and the set they have won't fit the new ride...at least you can in NorCal and Reno Tahoe..
They fit over lug nuts and nothing goes behind the tire so no worries about suspension interference etc...plus you can snap em on in a min or two..w/o crawling under the car!

Looking at the pictures the spider spikes look similar to the Thule Summit K44, probably cost just as much

Figured I'd post this here. I recently picked up a set of Konig snow chains to compliment our snow tires. I upsized our 18" tires to 235/50-18 (stock is 225/50-18). I did this because I like the feel the 235/50's gave on an S60 Cross Country I drove a few times through some serious snow storms. So far i've been extremely impressed with the performance and handling of these tires, Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 non-runflats.

Fitment of the snow chains is perfect and tight. I have approx. 5mm+ of clearance from the front of the tire to the fender liner on the rear, and plenty of clearance on the front. Hopefully I don't have to use them but am glad I have them in the X1.

Also including some photos of what was included with the Konig snow chains.

when i leased my X2, the dealer made me sign a thing that says you cannot use chains, just cables. Not sure why, but I guess chains have higher chance of causing damage?

That's odd. The X1 owners manual says only certain approved chains are to be used and they recommend "fine-link" chains, which is what I got.

I should also point out that I did push the wheels out 6mm from stock with these aftermarket wheels to accommodate the slightly oversized snow tires.
