Oh, my bad, right, didn't read the text.
Once I read 35 I was thinking 6 cylinders and my mind got excited.

Oh well...
BMW straight 6 is probably one of the best in the world. Yet it appears in less and less cars... as does RWD. Bad decision IMO.

I'm sure it handles fine and will be pretty rapid. As are the Golf R, Seat Cupra, GLA45, Type R, A45 S3 RSQ3 etc etc = nothing unique about the BMW now stands out. Oh well gives me more choice next time.

X2 just did that.
Lol....
That gap is filled...now next gap will be between 2 n 3....just weird...X1 and x2 are v close unless these are for different markets.
X2 actually looked nice in person at auto show.

Interesting fact: GLA and Q3 both have a huge gap between ~200 hp and ~350 hp versions and it was mentioned that there is simple not enough market for something in the middle.

Is BMW trying to prove them wrong with this car? Or is it going to be just a UKL halo car to show everyone that this FWD platform is capable? Just to help the sales of less powerful versions?

My guess is that we will see some more powerful Minis sharing parts with this X2 M35i, which makes sense as the Minis get bigger, but the B48 stays the same.

Love my 2015 M235i, and would love a four door. However, I still want my inline six, rear wheel drive, and a trunk.
I like hatch backs and the M235 would make a great sporty two door hatch with a sloping roofline down to the rear. But the four door looks too much like the M135i hot hatch, or an SUV/CUV. This test mule looks more like the X1 and X2 had a baby, and it looks like you might as well just have one of those instead. Unless it's rear wheel drive and an in-line six.

^this. Ridiculously priced even at a base X2. If this is 38K (base) every model MSRP base will go up........

Are the blue M Sport brake calipers on this new vehicle are bigger than the current version BMW offers? Seems that way from the photo - and explains why they are partially covered in camo.. Specs anyone ?
