Mine has Dunlop Sport Maxx GT's, have these in my F10. Very quite and decent grip wet and dry, however I've had two with sidewall bubbles on my car. Got wheel and tyre insurance so not too bothered about this issues on the F48

I got the standard wheels for my US spec XDrive28i and got Goodyear Eagle Sport RTFs. I asked the delivery manager about that and he said that it just depends on the production batch of the vehicle....

Interesting.
I can find no listing of Goodyears for the F48 X1 on any public BMW system. Nor do I recall any pictures of them fitted.

Would be nice if you could post a picture of one wheel and tire with the Goodyears if possible

Did anybody try to install 225/55-18 instead of 225/50-18? Results?

So far I'm happy.
I guess I'll wait and see what I get with mine. Having AWD will definitely help, but I read that to cross Germany you have to have M+S equipped so it is definitely something I'll have to do before my trip.

Do all all-season have M&S? In particular the P7 Cinturato? (it seems CrossClimate is not available for 225/50 R18)
Michelin do make a 235/50/18 Xclimate tyre, when fitted is 5mm wider each side than the 225 giving better tread support plus curb gruff protection for the alloys.
