Unfortunately it's not possible on your vehicle without replacing headunit or installing chinese MMI interface.

Yes. Retrofit EntryNav2 Head Unit with WLAN Port, or NBT Head Unit, or use Aftermarket HMI CarPlay box.

I bought a BMW X1 from 2020 and it has EntryEvo headunit. Would I need a Wifi antenna for the Carplay activation?

My VIN is WBA71AC0705R11522

Is the activation process safe, is there a risk of bricking the HU?
