At the rhythm things progress with BMW Canada, I might consider MY2017 too...

I put 2k down a few weekends back and have an estimated production date of June if I choose to accept in the U.S.

However, I want to experience the ED and plan to push it out to spring of next year as well!

Just talked to my CA again and they said they have an HEA coming with the same specs that I want. It'll be selling it at MSRP. Now I'm not sure if I want to do ED or not next year.

I'm going to Europe this September and I'm 50/50 on weather I should do ED at that date or not.

If I were you, I'd just wait an extra couple of months and get yourself into an LCI model. You're right there anyway.

Yeah if I do end up with an M2 it will be a 2018 for sure. That said I'm 99% sure I'll need to get the RS3. Will be out at the same time, need AWD this time around.

HEA vs waiting for ED

So I am on the fence. I found a HEA car in the configuration I want, but was really wanting to do Euro Delivery this summer or early fall. I actually turned down two other HEA cars. I just don't want to get shut out and be waiting until next spring as I don't want Euro delivery in the winter. Thoughts?

Get the car now then take a vacation whenever you want. The dollar is the strongest I can remember it being against the EU so your vacation is never going to get cheaper all things considered. What's the Euro delivery discount? Also you need to keep in mind they will raise prices for 2017 AND more importantly you get the shitty maintenance program. So assuming 3% increase in price and that eats any EU discount, and the brake job alone could pay a decent chunk of the trip.

I'm number 6 on the waitlist and the dealer has estimated an early to mid 2017 delivery.

I assume the dealer just gets less allocations than some people here mentioning they are number 14+ on the waitlist and expecting a mid 2017 delivery also...that or people have high hopes of their dealers?

Anyone got any ideas

I'm thinking of Sep 2017. That way I get the LCI (if I go with M2). At this point I am more interested in the M3. Hopefully the M3 LCI comes out by then. A used Porsche Macan is also in the mix as I would like an SUV for the snow.

M3 LCI is already out though. Unless you are talking about an M4, then that comes out 03/17

Till this day I still cant differentiate between non LCI M4 to a LCI M4.

It is not worth the wait for a slight change in taillights.

Wait, an M4? The LCI is not out for that yet.
The M3 LCI IS out, and it's essentially just the taillights (I think they look great)
M2 gets LCI summer 2017
M4 gets it spring 2017

And another big upgrade for the M2 and M4 will be iDrive 5.0, which is the same as what the 7er has minus the motion gesture and touchscreen. If you aren't in a giant rush to get the car, to me that is a worthwhile upgrade.

It's definitely not considering it cost me around $700 to replace my 15 tail lights to 16. I'm actually sad that when I get my 17 ZCP the vents will change to the lame silver lined LCI ones.

Thank you for that. I meant M3. Just not up to date with the M3 LCI so I wasn't sure when it would be come out.

Is anyone on an ED list that's not with Steve Thomas? My dealer said ED/PC delivery isn't available for the M2 so I expect mine sometime this May. I don't really want to wait until next summer but a 2018 LCI sounds better.
