225 mph Toro leaf blower just purchased today. Car to be picked up in less than two weeks! Can't wait!

I have the cheap Toro leaf blower and it doesn't really work too well. It gets all of the big drops and disperses them into tiny little drops all over your car. The only good that it does is getting the "hidden" water in the nooks and crannies of your car. I can't speak for the 225mph blower though, it may work better than the 140.

I picked up a Rigid wet/dry vac from Home Depot a few years ago. I think it's 4.25 hp. It is a vacuum and a blower. That thing could suck and blow like a champ. My neigbors think I am nuts when they see me using the vacuum to dry the car. Oh well!

why would you guys get blowers?

get a wet/dry shop-vac to suck the water out of the cracks. then you can also use it to vacuum out your car.

its also good for cleaning anything. i use it around the house to get spider webs off our vaulted cielings.

you can also use the vac to suck up leaves so you can throw them out, instead of just blowing them around.

get an air compressor that u use for a pnuematic nail gun, put the tip to blow air, an ur set

After reading this, I got out my leaf blower last weekend. Did an okay job, but mainly just atomized the big drops into tons of tiny little droplets. 225 Toro.

Still, I've got black and the least amount of contact with the paint, the better.

Next time I think I'll try the air compressor. My neighbors already thought I was crazy with the leaf blower.

Now the big question is, can you really wash your car with just a pressure washer?

Don't use a pressure washer.

I just use the leaf blower to dry the wheels and blow the water out of the crevices.

Just picked up a $39 215mph leaf blower from Lowe's tonight and used it for the first time. Absolutely wonderful. Took a little time to figure out the best technique, but it was very easy and not a single water spot. I will never let a drying cloth touch my e90 again!!

A pressure washer?! Just picture how it cleans concrete and wood decks. Would you want your clear coat to come off as easy as the dirt from concrete does..???
