Realizing more and more what a great car this is..
So in light of my recent breakup, i decided to go out last night and hang out with a few people. It was about 11pm when i left, and i was going about 90 the entire way (usually it takes me 30 mins, but i got there in about 22). Anyway, i left around 1:30am, and there was hardly anyone out on the road. So i pushed my car to 117mph, i couldnt believe how steady the car felt & how secure the wheel was. I took one turn at about 80 mph and it was posted at 45mph, and another one at about 85, and the posting was 55mph. The handling was so nice! So i ended up getting lost (damn i wish i had navi). I ended up taking a 20 mile detour hahah.. but the entire time i was in awe. In my old celica if i went over 85, the steering wheel would shake, in my jetta if i took it over 90 the wheels felt like they were gonna pop off. So i just wanted to post that i finally got a view of how great the bmw handling is...

I took an off-ramp at 100mph once, the car did a backflip for no reason and flew me to safety.
Seriously though, sometimes I actually enjoy getting lost in my BMW (I don't have Navi either). |

if you got caught, you'd be posting something else like "Realizing how nice it is too look at my car sitting in the garage"

It's even better when you see people trying to follow you and see them vanish in your rear view mirror after you come out of the turns.

Guys, she was trying to share with us how wonderfull the car handles, even at hich speeds in tight turns.
Thanks for the story. Now, I hope you won't be trying that one soon, because I would really hate it if found out what the limit of your car is |

bella, if you haven't taken your car up the mountains (assuming there are some nearby) try it. if you thought some simple freeway on/off ramps were fun, you will LOVE the climbs and sharp corners. also long rolling, twisty country roads are great fun as well.
just about all of us enjoy our cars immensely. there are only one or two that dont. im with you on the big smile/handling thing. i hope everything works out well for you. all the best.

Hahah thanks for the responses (and some of you are naughty) LOL..
Actually the other day a mustang was at the same light as me and we were both going on the onramp, he tried to beat me to it, BUT once we were on it, man a different story, i think i was up around 75mph and the guy was just a speck in my mirror. I may not have the speed but i can outhandle quite a few cars out there. I wanted to share my story, and it did help me get my mind off a few things and it definitely put a smile on my face.. aww i love her, with or without xenons (probably a little more with xenons tho..ha..thanks for mentioning it Oz) -btw- i have "talked" my way out of 2 tickets, however none in the bimmer yet. Actually when i was up around 117, i kept thinking ok what am i gonna tell the cop?? I had a whole sceanrio in my head haha..

Bella, good to hear that you're getting better acquainted with your E90. I too feel like i'm only scratching at the surface of how great this car handles. It's no wonder that BMW practically holds the patent for "sport handling" in the luxury sedan world.
Sorry to hear about your break-up. Think of it this way: time heals... but time spent in your bimmer heals a hell of a lot faster |

Sorry to hear about your brake-up, but I think to get over it properly, you should drive out to Julian on the 78 and get a nice apple pie. I just did that last weekend, and it was the most fun I have had in a long time. |

Let alone ruining my leather seats. Hmmm... hold on. If I were caught doing 170 mph, I might do it anyway to avoid jail time and/or license suspension. Heck, in that case one could even try to "do it" (even without a bottle of water around)!!

Next you need to try taking the on ramp sideways to feel the balance of the car
