Anyone drives non RFT with spare donut?

I can save $600 on tire changes ($150 vs $300 /tire) by going with non RFT.

I found spare donut for $230 shipped on ebay.

Anyone decided to go with non RFT with spare donuts? If so where are you storing it? My 2018 is almost due for tire changes.

Thanks!

Yes, I've done exactly this. RFT are noisy, heavy, and expensive.

I'm running cheap, RADAR DIMAX AS-8, with Modern Spare that fits perfectly under the underfloor area.

I ditched the RFTs long time ago. The ride is noticeably more comfy. Have a £10 repair kit in the boot.

Garage List
Bought a spare wheel and tire online then had discount tire mount it for me. On the X2, it fits in the trunk compartment, just gotta angle it in.

With my M brakes, it won't fit on the front so if I get a front flat, I gotta put the spare on the rear and move a rear to the front. lol

I switched over to normal (Michelin) tyres about 2 months ago. Much more comfort, less noise. I don't have a spare tyre. Did the same with my previous E91. Had one puncture in 8 years which was announched by the tyre pressure system. So drove to a service station where they fixed it rideaway.
