The wheels haven't gone on yet. Its looking like the temps won't be dropping enough until Nov. I'll take some pics when they're on.

Tire Rack's X1 imaging isn't up yet, so I can't simulate the wheels on the vehicle. So it's a bit tough because I've never bought SUV wheels before and have no clue what will look good.

Suggestions?

Maybe this?

Something beefier like Sparcos?
https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...tire=25TR8WS80

More classic split spoke? Would that look weird on an SUV?
https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...tire=25TR8WS80

These are only $128.. similar to some older E53 X5 5 spoke..
https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...tire=25TR8WS80

Although these are based on a Mini platform, is it still 5x120 72.56 CB?

edit: nm found it, it's different
5x112 66.6mm CB with 47-52mm offsets

I think I'm going with these, way more than I should spend on winters but they are too sexy to pass up

Hi guys , I'm a e92 335i owner but I recently got my BMW lover Aunt into a 2016 x1 msport and I need to get her some winter rims and tires. Can someone clarify two things for me. What is the bolt pattern ( 5x120 like most Beemer or I see some say 5x112? Did they change the bolt pattern from the old 2015? Also what bore and offset is the new one. She has the 19 inch m wheels so I assume a 225/18/50 would be the choice. I have read the info before and gather I'm correct but want to clarify the bolt pattern

Why did you go so narrow, are you sure the diameter is the same as the OE summer wheels?

It is the only dimension who can received chains, other dimensions are not made for !

They are the same dimension as the original BMW 574 (6,5 x 17 ET 39), but i find the look not so good...

Sorry, but I find the smaller wheels really no face.
especially on the X1 sport models.

Safety is everything but appearance of the car is also a must (to me)

Last week I changed my 19" summer tires.
for 19" winter tires >> Continental TS830P SUV XL 225/45 R19 96V

A non Runflat tire, soft & quiet.
Read various test, the number 1 @ wet road grip and snow.

In Holland, we do not often snowy roads here.
Winter sports in Austria and on the way through Germany, winter tires are a must.
I assume therefore always snow chains.

The X1 xDrive acquits itself remarkably well in snow and ice, and I'm especially impressed by those Bridgestone snow tyres. These pics are from the BMW xDrive Alpine event held at the Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground, near Queenstown, New Zealand last August

Hi guys I do not get my X1 Sport until March but intend to get some winter tires and rims for the following winter. Not much snow comes to east of England but the roads around here are salted from November to end of March and I want to avoid getting salt on the new wheels. I will just have to wash wheels down often when I do get the car for the remaining month of salt before spring hits.

Keeping a close eye on this thread for wheel/tire combos
