I just purchased my 2007 335i e92 with about 41K miles and 7 months left on original factory warranty (lease return) for about $27K (plus TTL) in northern california. Premium/sport/cold weather package, navigation, comfort access in almost perfect exterior condition. At least from what I could see on craigslist and autotrader, I got a decent deal at least.

I don't think you should trade in a car that is paid off since you know its history for a used car that you don't. You said you can afford your 335 and since it is paid off I assume you mean maintenace. Keep what you have.

1st is National Avg, 2nd is MA. From Adesa Dealer Auction. This is what dealer pays for the car before the mark-up which is usually 3-5k

1) If you can get that what is stopping you from selling?
2) Everything is negotiable! Sorry, Herb.

My dealership seemed to have a fully-loaded 2k7 with under 30k, CPO until Oct. 2012, and asking $28k. I would think they'd go into the 26's. Perhaps Cali. is notorious for everything costing more...

It sounds like you already got your advice from forum members, but you don't like what they said. It's your life, do what you want with it.

My friend is the manager at that dealership. He said policy is to avoid unnecessary customer frustration and set pretty low prices from the beginning. Whats stopping me now.....want to wait till April

Thats what I thought. Only dealerships that set high prices will negotiate. Got ZERO negotiations from Herbchambers and same from where I actaully bought the car. If u go to KBB and car is priced at CPO retail or just retail, then maybe u can bring it down to Private Party value. And its also important to remember that 6 speed coupe is more then auto sedan. In about 4 months of searching, I found a ton of cheap autos and sedans, and not one that I would buy. so with dealer licence, I actually had to buy from dealer instead of auto auction.

Unless you need the extra cash immediately (before you can find a job), then I would keep the 335.

sold e46 m3, just sold 335i, dont like evo or c300

so far its ok even as daily driver unless you need rear seats which i personally never used. of course if this is your only car in the family, then i can see the problem. trunk is pretty big, and you get even more space with spare tire out.

deal worked out better then i though....ended up with s2k and $7.5k ($6.5k if you subtract taxes that i haven't paid yet)

Somehow the OP seems a bit delusional.

Playing the stock market right now is not the way to spend his time. He should be aggressively looking for a job. A gap is murder.

Believing that a green 6speed is a more valuable car is equally delusional. While forum members may prefer manuals, the fact is that literally 95% of the US population buys automatics and green isn't an "in" color anymore - and certainly isn't considered a sporty color to go with a manual coupe.

sorry - he needs to focus on a job and not worry about an unsellable car or the stock market.

the s2k will be a snow plow in the winter if you are still in Boston ... keep the 335 and use the warranty and hopefully in two years you will have a new job

How do you lose a job if you were self-employed? Did you fire yourself?

How? The same way you try to convince people that you got $27k for a 2007 manual green coupe. You lie.

Who knows, without any resume for 8 years means he's been living in his mom's basement since he graduated from community college.

I never understood why there are so many s2k fans out here.
Im not calling it bad or anything, but what do you guys find appealing in it?
What about a 350/70Z or g35/7?
