how is the steering feel and the handling compared to a Porsche 718 or even a Toyota GR86 ? I'd always thought Nissan anything understeers like crazy

Correct, and so does the 2.0 J29.

Lets see the $40k Z Sport vs $43k Supra 2.0. Nissan has been hiding the lower trim, like they don't exist.

Nope. Mechanical LSD in North America just like the rest of the world. Confirmed by Toyota see post #42.

Honestly a TUNED 2.0 Zupra might be better than a base model Z at this point
At least it doesn't have fuel cutoff when your tank drops below 3/4

This topic is still being debated, which is really weird. Even though some 2.0 owners have said their US market cars are open diff. Guff on that forum, probably the most knowledgeable on that forum has said it is open.

Read through this thread from May 2022, where some people are still arguing the US market 2.0 has LSD. Half this thread is about 2.0, lsd or open-diff.
https://www.supramkv.com/threads/did...0.13467/page-3

Guff has tested one, a couple owners have confirmed open diff...but some members still believe media and some random toyota email with incorrect info from 2+ years ago.

The 350Z and 370Z has been known for fuel starvation in track conditions, long right hand sweepers. They make fuel anti-starvation kits for them.

Defo not at their level, 400Z is a reskinned 370Z, which is already just a reskinned 350Z.

370Z does plow a little but that's not its worst trait, that is lack of feedback, transmission is horrid and lacks mechanical feel, the whole experience feels isolating for a sports car,

One will hope they have done something different but it certainly doesn't sound like it

Yep, I owned one for a year, I had mine starve twice
once at the track, not half tank, but at a full tank, it recovered mostly because it had a full tank
the other time with my preggo wife 3 days from her due date, fuel starvation on a highway interchange, with 1/4 tank, and that time no surprise, did not recover

You'd think with the racing drivers they have they could have discovered this issue and remedy it. But Nissan's had a habit of doing it once and never touch it again

The fuel starvation stuff on newer performance cars is hysterical to me.

When I had my '90 Miata, I could literally take it down to E on Rcomps and it would never fuel starve.

They are not the only make that has fuel starvation issues in sustained high load corning g's. I seen multiple engines lost at COTA, including two E92 M3's due to fuel starvation. Turn 16,17,18 are basically one long continuous right hand turn. Friend of mine M2C gets fuel cuts coming out of 18.
