Interesting casting, never really saw Nicole Kidman as someone who could play Lucille Ball

There's a couple you don't like (to each their own). How about posting one you do like.

Which one? I like the one with Kurt Russell. A classic!

I'm reserving judgement till I see the movie, but looks like it will be focusing more on the dramatic parts of her life which Kidman should do well on, but I'm not sure she'll be able to master her facial expressions and the comedy aspect.

A lot of people were rooting for Debra Messing to play Lucy and I can see the resemblance there.

Yeah, I edited my post above. I assumed you saw it. I was wrong. I heard she does a good job. Will see it eventually and give my opinion as well.

THat's the one yeah. I was expecting a sort of, you know, hide the alien type movie with fleeting glimpses given the lack of special effects in 1982. Instead I got an in your face, all out war. For the most part the humans made reasonable decisions (easy way to run a bug flick is dumb decisions) and the blood test scene was epic.

Best movie I have seen since, well, jesus....since.......maybe The Accountant 2 years ago.

Have you guys seen the new James Bond?

I am not going to spoil anything but it is by far the worst Daniel Craig Bond movie by far.

The film somehow lacked the finesse of the other movies and felt more like a fast and furious (obviously exaggerating) than a true Bond. I looked up the director and all of my suspicions were confirmed... all I will say is that if you watch Casino Royale and No time to die side by side... you would wonder what the hell happened.

Oh and Rami Malek... an amazing actor as evidenced by his Freddy Mercury portrayal is entirely wasted in this film.

I have been expecting that for years. It would have been golden.

Daniel Craig and his one face/expression...... bee sting. I have rolling pins that are less wooden than him.

Yes we have……and yes, some of us felt it was a lackluster effort while some really enjoyed it. I found it boring, which is saying a lot because I really like Daniel Craig's "Bond."

I forgot to mention the zombie Netflix series, "Black Summer." I truly enjoyed it. I've also noticed Johnny Mnemonic is on Netflix as well.

P.S. Me, Hottie attorney and her son watched the new "Ghostbusters" movie last night. It was quite enjoyable and was a throwback to the first movie in more ways than four. I found it far more enjoyable than the Ghostbusters flick with the all female cast.

P.P.S. Has anybody watched, "The Deep House"?

No, haven't seen The Deep House, but glad to hear you enjoyed the new Ghostbusters movie because I want that to be good so I can enjoy it too.

I really enjoyed Black Summer as well. I watched that over the Summer and was surprised I didn't hear much about it. I only knew about it as I was perusing the menu on Netflix. I had posted about it at the time and mentioned how much more I liked it than the typical zombie series. Just has a "real" vibe to it if you know what I mean.

Haven't seen the new Ghostbusters and I never bothered with the all female cast version as I knew I probably wouldn't care for it. Hard to beat the original.

Not familiar with "The Deep House".

That zombie series did have a realistic feel to it. I hope there will be a season three. Like you, I watched it last year during Covid.

I was perusing the Firestick and I came across "The Deep House." The premise sounds interesting.

Ghostbusters Afterlife was good. Definitely nostalgic as someone mentioned. I also like that old school element from Stranger Things. Should be a hit with those that grew up with it.

Yes. The other day. It's on EPIX. I'm a horror movie buff! This was lame AF.
