How do you know??

How do you know if the car has been installed with the alarm or not..i went to the bmw dealer and i heard if they have that red knob coming down from the rear view mirror than it has the extra alarm deal..is this correct???

no. the clown nose is all the U.S. rear view mirrors --alarm or not. if the clown nose blinks when your car is locked, then you have the alarm installed. otherwise it's not. I don't think any cars come with it installed. It should always be a dealer option... so if you didn't get it when you bought the car at the dealership, then you probably don't have it.
