Meet my new 2020 X2 M35i
Took delivery yesterday and enjoyed a nice drive up to Maine today.
Really loving it overall. Some initial observations: The exhaust is a hoot!; Though I thought it wasn’t much of a feature - I really like the Head-up Display; The iDrive is going to take some getting used to - lots of menus and features to explore; Glad I upgraded to the h/k stereo - it sounds quite good; The ACC cruise control works pretty good - I find it works smoothly and not as ‘jerky’ as the system on my Nissan Murano was; I’ve had it 24 hours and have already gotten many compliments on the red interior; I LOVE the sport seats - but - I’m on the short size and am a pretty average build - I would imagine someone a bit more portly would find these seats too constricting - but love the bolstering and all the adjustments. I do not see much visually different from the 2019 to the 2020; would seem the biggest changes were adjusted prices on a couple options (slightly cheaper!) |

Sexy beast! Where did you go in Maine? It’s a beautiful state, we plan on moving there when my daughter graduates.

That is SO cool. You got the exact same X2M that I ordered and will pick up in Munich via European Delivery. I plan to drive it through several countries before sending it back. Glad you love it... Can't wait to stand in the BMW Welt and have it driven up to me!

I’ve been seeing that the replacement i8 will have a 360hp i4, so common sense would say that it’s our engine. I bet they just boosted it more since it has electric motors to make up for lag.

One other thing I just noticed last evening - they ditched the CD player, which I believe was on the 2019 model; its just a black bar with the shortcut buttons now. Trimmed a pound or two off the weight of the car leaving that unnecessary feature out!

Looks great! Definitely a color option I would have chosen if it was in stock! That sounds neat about the CD player option, I'll have to check it out whenever we meet. I'll keep an eye out for you. So far I've only seen one other m35i in that same grey (but no red inside). I'm pretty sure in MA there's got to be less than 10 on the road according to what was in stock when I was buying.

Yes - if you get Premium Package, then you get Nav with 8.8" screen. You are also supposed to get the touchpad controller - but they seem to have fitted my X2 with the standard controller. Need to see the dealer about that.
