V710 18 x 9.5 ET22 w/ CUP's 265/35 18 square setup

Well....all is good at my house!

10 mm Macht Schnell spacers in the rear, no spacers in the front. H&R sport springs too. The wheels are not the lightest on the market, but I just love the look of them on the car.

The tires have a tread wear rating of 80! They are very very soft.....I'm sweeping my side street every time I drive away from my house!

First auto-x is this Monday....going to be sweet.

Hmmm...will they fit the E36?

Thanks guys!

I am sure the rears will fit w/o spacers as the width of tire and rim are same as stock.

Thanks to Tom @ EAS.

You know you need at least -3.00 of camber to make the MPSC tires work correctly. It does not appear you are running that much camber. Yet alone the fact that you might produce coil bind with the tires. Why did you feel the need for MPSC tires and not just PS2's?

I am on H&R springs. No rubbing at all!!

As for the alignment, I will be revisiting it after my first race. As for my choosing the PSCs over running the PS2s, I just wanted a nice track tire, saving my stock tires for long road trips. Did I make a mistake? I hope not!

They do look cool, but I assume you are going for function over form here.

I am not going to lie or sugar coat it for you. You made a mistake. It is common and not really your fault. It is the fault of whoever sold you the tires. I would see if you can return them. There is no reason to burn through a set of tires that will not help you. You will also not be able to generate enough heat in the tires during an Auto X. You really should have stayed with a PS2 or at most a Toyo RA1 or R888. I would dismount and return for a different tire.

I am sorry to be the bearer of this news, but you did not get the correct rubber for the correction application. Good in theory, bad in execution.

yup, as cosmos said, PSC is NOT a good autox tire at all! it's a fine track/street tire on the other hand. the short distance/period of autox doesn't generate enough heat to get them in optimal temp.

If they don't work out for you, look into Yokohama AD08 and Bridgestone RE-11.

I actually do not mind the CUPS for auto-x.

Relative to the stock PS2's, they certainly brake much quicker and smoother. And the cornering grip is noticeably better. Even despite that fact that the weather was ~55F at the time we ran. Far less brake chatter upon braking, that's for sure.

I certainly do not have quantitative evidence....would be nice to do back to back runs with the two different tires. Maybe on a weekend event.

I certainly do know that the two Corvette's running R1's that I chose the better tire of the two for auto-x.

Overall I am happy with my choice. Not the best for some, but great for me. Maybe I should invest in a second set of V710's with Khumo's?

Schnell325,
After putting the new rims on for a week, do you have any comment?
I like those rims and I like to get a set for myself, I will like to hear some endusers comment?
Ottawa's road is not that good!
Why do you choose VMR instead of HRE?
