Not sure what the world is thinking when most of the rare chemicals to make EV batteries come from China.

Rare chemicals? Perhaps you mean rare earth elements, which aren’t actually rare. Lithium is the main issue and dominated by Chile, Australia, and Argentina with China in 4th. I agree with BMWs take here, and there are some problems, but this isn’t one.

Well, I don’t agree with Zipse on hydrogen. That’s a fools errand.

I agree with BMW, Toyota, and Porsche. Alternative fuels and fuel cell is the way to go; with electric hybridization right alongside it. More versatility, and convertibility. it will help move away from increasing the heavy metal mining to make more EV batteries, while simultaneously improving the innovation and technological advancements that make cool things better.

And to be frank, anyone that signs off on fuel cell or alternative fuels are ignorant at best. With one simple question, who made you the all-knowing source of what works? or, Where is your factual test based analysis that proves the progress made already- its a farce?
