You must not take 4,000 mile road trips on 2 lane roads through the mountains and canyons. 0-60 in 3 is awesome - combine that with superior handling....priceless. However, I would trade better handling for a few tenths any day of the week.

Because it's a gentleman's supercar, always has been.
That's a polite way of saying it looks boring which is incredibly gentlemanly of you. However I'd be fine being labeled a hooligan to get the RS6/7's flares on an M5.

This front would look great on the G80 paired with the wide hips

I agree; and I hope its aggression will compensate for the inflated cheeks that make the parts below the headlights look pudgy. The face has evidently gone through the same cosmetic surgeon as the LCI 3 series, which now has a chipmunkesque complexion. That's why I wouldn't be too bothered about flared rear fenders (which all cars have nowadays, especially EVs, as bodywork 'blisters' are essential for hiding the increasing bulk), as it's almost more radical now to come up with something lean and non-angular. Less camo will soon reveal which way they've gone overall...

Wider rear and front fenders are there, it's very clear in this pic

Everything that has been leaked thus far has me excited. The grille design, the lack of any body roll at cornering it has so early on. The bumper/Mirrors/Diffuser etc. CAN NOT be judged until the day it is unveiled. BMW M has always and will always leave those touches and details off the car until the very end.

I like what I see so far regarding the side rocker panel "flare" along with the slight bulge in the rear hips.

So far, I absolutely see myself upgrading to the G90 when the Competition drops

Looks incredible so far. Can't wait to see what the final product looks like. Hope the M team took good clear detailed notes from the front grill mishap on the G80 M3.

Are the rear wheels 21"? I may be wrong but when I zoomed in on some of the pictures, I saw a 265/40/20 front and a 295/30/21 rear. Seems interesting.

Previous spy pics had final production body panels for rear fenders and they were wider than the 5er for the first time ever on an M5.
In these pics the rear fender extensions looked tacked on and unintegrated into contours of the arches and don't quite flow out of the preceding panel. Presumably they might improve that for the final article. But as it stands, they don't seem that exceptional. The flairs on the G80 aren't integrated properly, so nothing new there.

They won't put G80/2/3 grills on the M5... The normal 3er and 5er are cars they won't mess with too much and keep as much traditional design as possible until they can't.

Seems like BMW and KIA are fighting to get to the same ultimate design language. Which makes sense when you consider that KIA's executive leadership team is a mish mash of old BMW executives.

Not an insult, the render looks great.

Anyone else get an STI vibe from the bottom pic? I think it's the shape of the lights and the angle of the grilles. It doesn't look bad imo, but the render of the rear is meh compared to the f90
