Its nice to live ~4 miles from work, could still technically drive all week too and from work gas free theoretically (depending on how the hybrid system works).
I would have gone with the Full on BEV considering how close you live to work.

Yes we will see an M Performance X2 model as well as an X1.
What is the next model due out after the 7 series is it the 5 er or am I forgetting something?

The X7 will be launched in mid-late 2017.
BMWs year of the SAV. The new X2, the next generation X3, X6 LCi and the new X7.
Many thanks for being a bit more specific than the original post of "2017".

X2.....hmmm... I though the X2 was going to be a two door coupe of the X1..I don't see any point in this car imo , looks good though, better than the X1 and the X4....So going by this logic , there will be an X8 also yes?

I also thought the x2 would be a two door.. But looking at the Nissan Juke and it's sales plummet.. Not sure the 2 door SUV/SAV category is the way to go at all. Agree the X2 does improve on the X1 for me as well.

Market demands indicate that 5drs is preferred.

The next all-new BMW is indeed the 5er. Soon we will see the prototypes for the 5er Touring and Gran Turismo. And before the end of the year we should start to see the next 6er which puts the ideas from the Vision Future Luxury in similar design perception.
But there is a lot more to come beginning this August.

X1 x28i - $33,000
X3 x28i - $40,600

In Germany however,

328iAT - 42,450 EUR
X1 x28i - 43,250 EUR
X3 x28i - 48,300 EUR

It is no surprise that X1 and X3 outsells Touring in the US.

Is it correct that the next X2 goes under the F39 development code?

A while ago, in another thread, I asked you about the F05, but got no reply. Since you are active in this thread, can you talk what type of a project it was? This site claimed that [this was an F05](http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165576), but it is obviously an F07.
F07 originally was intended to be an R-Klasse type vehicle but it had many premium features that distinguished it from the van and bus like R-Klasse.
It had rear hinged doors and a lower roofline and glasshouse and also seven seats. It was very innovative even more so than the R-Klasse,it was also very sporty and dynamic looking. But reaction to the R-Klasse gave time to further develop the car as something different still which ended up with the RFK morphing into the 5er Gran Turismo.

Although at BMW ideas don't die. They are simply put on the shelf for later and the ideas in RFK are being considered for a concept that deals with sustainable mobility so we will see the idea of RFK in a future model.

X2 with xDrive, cool idea.

The X4 is the perfect size for us. Still awaiting a true MX4!

If the market indicated a Sports Car was indeed the hottest segment then there would be a plethora of them. But it is not,the hottest segment is with the SUV/Crossover from compact to premium luxury.
An M car or progressive can provide more image sustenance than anything else like a super sports car but should "Anything Else" surface it would be a vehicle that would combine eDrive and Plug-in hybrid.

Our Halo car for now is the BMW i8, and it is succeeding because it is a concept that has moved the goalposts in terms of what is offered for so little money.
The i8 is a game changer.

The juke is ugly with those "bug eyes" and probably doesn't appeal to the older demographic.

X2 (as shown) is an ugly and more importantly, a car that isn't needed. If it is indeed a car/SUV. Wtf is going on? BMW brand being lessened yet again.

Regarding the render like the lines and proportion. BMW should have taken a pass on redundant X4 and produced the X2.

Are you saying the Juke is a 2 door? The Juke is a 4 door.

I'm saying it's so ugly I've never looked at it twice !!

Really? It's only a 4 door ?

All I ever see is this.
