12 hours of Sebring - who's going?

Just taking my yearly pole of who's going to the Sebring 12 hours race?
Been going since mid 90's every year. Our gang is always camped out at turn 10, there is about 50 core members who go every year, Anyway hit me up if anyone is going to be at the race.

I'll probably be going up for it. I've been going on and off for the past 20 years.

What day/time is the race this year? Wasn't too clear on the IMSA site. I missed out on the Rolex 24, might give this a shot if I can get the time off.

10am-10pm Saturday March 21st. I usually get there Thursday or Friday. So far I've slept in trunk of my 535, 335, M5 and this yr my new M550. Rear seat folding is a must . I missed the Rolex this yr too.

PBC.

I usually know someone with a room so I watch from the hotel. Or I watch just after the bridge coming into turn 1.

LOL! I have not slept in my car yet but definitely do-able with decent layer to lay down on. I'd by flying down from NYC so I'd try to land in the AM, see the race and sleep somewhere closer to MCO and fly back the next morning

Man hard core flying in for the race. If you do PM me, we've got great group of people, they've been at turn 10 since the 70's and it's pretty cool thing. Drivers and teams always make their way over to hang out and visit camp.

That's awesome! Will definitely reach out to you if I'm able to make it. I'll be sure to bring some beer

For those not sleeping in your trunk, its pretty tough to find a hotel room. I would think by now, not much is available unless its a least an hour + away. When I was planning my trip last year, I didn't find much until I was able to get something close by the track via one of the race teams. Maybe it's different this year...

BMW is planning to have their Hospitality Chalet at Sebring and if you're able to get in, you won't want to watch another race from the grandstands anymore lol

Yes 280,000 people flooding to the small town of Sebring you need to book literally a yr I'm advance
I was in the BMW building last yr, I'm just not much of a champagne drinker. Got some nice gifts though

And I haven't always slept in my car lol. I used to bring camper but life doesn't allow me anymore than a couple days to spend out there lately. Nothin wrong with sleeping in your car once a yr
Lol

Yeah out of country drivers can't make race now. Waiting on word from Sebring. Office officials are in meeting now talking about the event.

This is going to hurt the attendance with it being so close to thanksgiving and people trying to take time off for that and the race. Our group was shocked, some of our people already are outside the gate with our trailers, smoker and campers.
