Plenty more, unfortunately these are without plastic “fitting surround” but you can modify existing ones.

Speakers part numbers which fit 65139364956, 65139210452

Your penance for such poor behaviour is to go and read at least 5 of my posts and guides. Parts get lost in transit and You know what might happen to your retrofit if you don’t?

Retrofitting the Harman Kardon system into my new (X1) F48

My X1 F48 came with standard HIFI sound system and I cannot stand it especially when used or coming from a better sound sys.
My pal just upgraded his "sled' with BavSound STAGE ONE SPEAKERs kit and I am sold.
I am about to do the same and will update with the outcome.

I've just replaced from HIFI amp to HK amp.

HK tweeter and their frame is the next thing I'm planning. Luckily those frames are $90 each instead of $180 on eBAY.

Just a note, there is a coding option for HK amp to be recognised, not sure what actual additional functionality you would get (if any). If I can remember correctly it is in expert mode in HU Ecu. From memory it is in 3000, with possible ref to HIGH_END or HK

You could do worse than starting by looking at a few YouTube videos with Bimmercode in the title. There are also a number of Bimmercode threads including on this forum. Bimmercode is basically an iOS/android app which you can use to connect to your car Ecus via an obd dongle using Bluetooth or wireless.

I'm buying the Pioneer Dome Tweeters. Their range is exceptional, from mids to highs. Running the wires from the door speakers. They mount in the same spot as the HK tweeters only these are better and much less expensive. They even have their own built in cross-overs too. Install is tomorrow morning and I will report back.

I forgot to mention 2 things: You do not need to upgrade the bass speakers under the seats. The amount of bass is actually more than you need. Also changing the small door speakers front and back will not change anything either as they're too small to be of any consequence. The main difference is the dome tweeters. They will elevate the quality of the sound reproduction.

Hi
Bimmercode is the coding app which you can use to code your BMW Ecu. Bimmertech supply retrofit parts for BMW (although they do also do some coding). Two different things but for US owners I would say Bimmertech is worth knowing.

I would agree about the under-seat woofers not needing changing. I would however say that if you have car (outside of US) with just basic hifi installed (I.e just 6 speakers and no separate amp in trunk/boot) then fitting tweeters makes a huge difference to top-end. I fitted Hk tweeters using BMW HK door trim and sound improvement was significant, after upgrading mid-range door speakers as well the difference was amazing. My upgrade kept sound running through HU, so no amp installed. This would obviously not suit someone who wants very high volumes.

Update on Pioneer tweeter install: The installation was clean and flawless. I'll post pictures soon. The small but clean and powerful dome tweeters come with a cross-over and are mounted (with small screws) to the corner of the door on the plastic and are flush. They are pointed towards the inside of the cabin. They sound absolutely fantastic. Rather than replacing the woofers located under the seats with the expensive and hefty Focals, I would recommend a 12 inch woofer from Kenwood with a sealed enclosure in the trunk (Boot) with spring loaded connectors for easy removal if you need the extra space. But this woofer lies flat and the new magnet design allows for a larger and heavier magnet as it is assembled inside the speaker. This way the speaker itself is shallow and allows for a compact enclosure. I will add to that an amp with a cross-over. That's basically all you need. This amp and bass speaker can be equalized and adjusted so that you get the maximum amount of bass and therefore use the speakers located under the seats as mid-bass speakers thus drawing less power and giving an overall better sound without overdriving the amp in the head-unit. The end result will be a better smoother more immersive sound overall. More power to the highs, mids and lows. You can google images of the Pioneer tweeters and the Kenwood bass with the enclosure and this will give you a good idea how they look. The overall cost is minimal too. The sub enclosure lies flat with all four corners raised and the speaker facing down and is held in place with velcro. In that way you can lie stuff on top of the speaker if needed. As I said if you have the upgraded stereo but not the HK system there's no need to change the mids....they're too small to be of any significance. The improvement is amazing.

do you know what those model numbers stand for ?

I've found some Bavsound Speakers on eBay for reasonable price but some say bavsound bsd.mb100.f or bavsound bsd.mb100.o?

Hey, I have upgraded with the HK tweeters and HK front speakers plus the center speaker, but I have a hissing noise in the tweeters and I don't understand why. I can hear it only if I'm close enough to the tweeter.
The noise is present with the Idrive on mute and with it on volume and it is there no-matter the source of sound.
I have a Hi-FI OEM system so I have the non-HK amplifier.
Does any of you encountered this problem with the hissing noise?
Sorry for my spelling errors, but I hope I made my self clear.
Thanks in advance for your interest.
