Out of curiosity does the HUD display the rev counter?

No rev counter. Digital speedo / Speed limit (shown in a red circle as per traffic signs) / Radio station or CD tracks / Sat Nav directions / Various other vehicle system warnings.

Overall, very impressed. The ride is firm in Comfort mode (even with EDC) but certainly not uncomfortable (bearing in mind my previous car was French). Very smooth gear changes and so much low down pulling power (below 3000 rpm of course).
It is such a relaxed, easy car to drive and I can't wait to get it run in and give Sport mode a try.
IMO the HUD is worth every penny. The display shows Speed Limit but not the 'No overtaking' signs etc. so it is only what the Sat Nav tells it but I think good enough, I don't have any DA packages.
My only negative is the remote / stop start button set up.
I unlock the car with the remote and then remember to put it straight in my pocket. Otherwise I keep leaving it in the car when I get out and have to go back and retrieve it to lock the car. Just need to get into a new habit.
Very Nice PICs
I am now more excited to get mine in a couple of weeks time

I want to compare the thickness of the M-sport vs the X-line sport steering wheel. Would be glad to see photos of the steering wheels from guys who got the cars! Thanks in advance.

I've had both recently, the M Sport in my loan car and the standard one in my new X Line.

The M Sport is thicker, and covered in softer leather. It feels beautiful.

Going straight from one to he other you notice that the leather on the X-line is harder and the grip area above the spokes of the wheel are thinner by some margin.

However, in remember going from my Tiguan into the X Line and thinking how good the wheel of the X Line felt.

So I think it's a lot about what you come from before. It's like wine. If you start with a bottle of great wine and switch
to something ordinary, the ordinary wine tastes awful. Go from a poor bottle to and ordinary one and you'll be loving it.

I'd rather have the M Sport wheel but I much prefer the X Line exterior package.

You can have both, or at least here in the Netherlands, i have the X-line with M Sport wheel, i was doubting for the Sport line, but i preferred the X-line over the Sports line (M Sport was not available at the time i orderd) In the end i paid more for the X-line (over M sport and Sport line) because i wanted sport seats and M sport wheel, but it was worth it

Another F48 for your delectation.

Here's my long-overdue X1 20i X-line in Mineral Grey with Oyster leather, 18" 569 wheels, Navigation Plus and a few other options. The Electronic Damper Control makes for a lovely smooth ride and the Adaptive Headlights are very good - especially the automatic headlight dipping which works instantly.

Great colour combo, shows the subtle body contours - my previous car was that colour and I found it hides the dirt/dust really well not like my current black ! I've had the oyster seats for 2 months now and have cleaned the drivers base once, to stop dirt getting ingrained. Lot of very positive comments on the oyster interior from folk who have seen the car.

Congratulations!

Nice to see standard edition trim! I took it too, difference to yours mgerousis is that I took aluminium decoration around windows and standard V-spoke wheels.
I like your wheels too, is it a comfortable ride on them?
My colour will be mediteranean blue metalic

Also, I think that without decoration below doors car looks higher, more SUV like.
If you have a photo from the back and interior(seats) please post.

Is it an sdrive or xdrive?

Congrats on finally... finally... picking up your car, mgerousis. Agree with others, black trim under the doors + 17" make the car look much taller.

You too, andyurq. Oyster seats look great with pretty much the entire colour range of X1 except white and silver.
