Sorry to hear about your damaged baby....

In other products, I've saved my ass a couple of times.

It would involve the policeman advising you that you have been very bad and asking you politely not to do it any more.

If he was really cross he might even take your name and address.

if u left your car outside (i know most ppl do), people could jsut smash ur window and open your garage with the homelink device.

I think Honda Homelinks are always on.

Don't know about Audi, but BMW and MB have been like that for years and years--at least as far back as my dad's E21 (1977) and our MB 280S (1975). My current VW is like that.

And you can't sound the horn between 11 pm and 7 am in a built-up area unless it's an absolute emergency.

From the Highway Code:

"92: The horn. Use only while your vehicle is moving and you need to warn other road users of your presence. Never sound your horn aggressively. You MUST NOT use your horn

while stationary on the road
when driving in a built up area between the hours of 11.30 pm and 7.00 am

except when another vehicle poses a danger."

Unfortunately, no one in the UK uses the horn like that, we use it to rebuke other motorists who have cut us up and to tell others to get the hell out of our way.
