335 Seat belt helper crap
Well; I dont know if I'm the first one, but It happened!
The drivers seat belt helper literally bounced in my face snapping the whole thing out of the hole. I have tryed to put it back without very much luck to fix it. Even though it is back in place now, makes noices and sometimes bounce again or got stuck 2 inches out before is going back to the original position. Any suggestions yet on how to disable that? I dont want to leave the car for 2 days at the dealer to be fixed damn.... any comments sugestions are welcome. |

The robot arm has grown on me, but I'm not convinced it will last that long.

I don't understand why they don't use the method they have on the Cabs. The seat belt is hooked around the seat just like in the picture above but the belt is anchored to the floor. When you fold the seat forward, the belt moves with the seat and people or things can still get into the back seat without being stranggled or tripping over the belt. I dont know if there is a safety difference if having the belt anchored to the floor vs the pillar.
The belt butler has been tried before by MB and some American car companies and there is a reason they no longer have them -- they suck! |

the belt helper is the whole reason I ordered the car... I mean... who cares about 300bhp and 300lbs of torque (Conservative numbers) and performance and luxury not offered by anyother car, when you've got a fukin "Seat Belt Helper"...
Seriously, can you turn it off? |

I wish BMW had made it more substantial like this one in a Merc CLK.
Its a bit sturdier from my experiences and holds it in so unlike the BMW one that sometimes hands you nothing, this one won't. Hopefully they update it for next year. |

No longer a problem.
Following Forum instructions posted above, I took off the fuse and is no longer working. Seat belt chime still in operation and red light on dash as well. thanks for the post! |
