the original was kind of crappy IMO.. I own it on DVD, and remember it being better than it actually was.

Yeah... he did kind of remind me of Hayden Christiansen, but you've got to admit, he is a marginally better actor. And you'd think that they could have done better with Jeff Bridges alter ego/younger version. I've seen better (less stilted) mouth movements in earlier CG movies. Maybe they just ran out of time/money, etc.

Still entertaining though.

It is a good movie if you are not expecting much from the story. Just go watch it for the visuals (the women in tight vinyl). Keep your expectations a little low and it will be more enjoyable.
And with all the chicks in vinyl, anyone catch a camel toe shot?

For Collins,
if all members pitch in a few cents each, we should be able to pick up the COMPLETE BLU-RAY STAR WARS PACK as a late Christmas present.
You are still on break from school right. Plenty of time to watch them all

The Blu-ray box set isn't coming out until fall of this year... including an alternate introduction to Return of the Jedi

Both of my roommates in college had never seen any of the Star Wars or Gladiator. They were both really obsessed with the fact that only nerds watch Star Wars. They also said they only watch movies made in the last 10 years. Neither were very bright. I finally got them to watch Gladiator and they loved it. Some people care more about stigma than entertainment.

I'll be waiting in line to buy it, no doubt in my mind. Here's the link:

The 3D was basic. That was all that was required.

I for one am glad they didn't load it up with useless inappropriate 3D usage and thusly had ruined an otherwise great movie.

Current 3D tech still sucks entirely. And it's not even that much better now than it was when I saw Muppets in 3D 10+ years ago.

3D was basic. Special effects were really done well.

I am entertained fairly easy and I could not really get into the movie. I am not one that looks at reviews and decide if the movie is good or not. I just thought the movie just lacked a certain something but can't put my finger on it right now. Typically I watch a movie and ask, was I entertained? It was an okay movie but I was hoping it would be much better. Things were not explained very well and it just seemed fragmented.

Watched it in Imax 3D last week. It wasn't half bad. I thought it has some great colors and graphics.

I was just jammin to the soundtrack the whole time. The real reason I saw the movie in the first place. Daft Punk FTW!
