Yeah right , even at the end Ricciardo touched Vettel and that was ok for Vettel and the race marshals ...This move from Ricciardo was way more risky and violent than the move from Max !
But Max got 5 sec. penalty because it was for the podium , and that made Ferrari really happy !

Last 5 laps Max his tires were completely shot....Anyway what a mess from the race marshals and race officials !
I'm sure Max is not happy for the moment...

Without watching replay - even the fact Max let Ricardo catch up to Seb, the Ricardo Seb contact was racing.
When Max locked up and cut the turn under pressure from Seb, the sporting thing to do was for Max to let Seb pass then continue the chase, defeated or not because of worn tire's.

In contrast to Nico running wide in the first turn, the first turn isn't where you over brake off the line when the two cars in front are chasing for drivers championship. But Max is creating a world champion attitude and he doesn't hold back - so I think in the end everything was handled properly, and it was GREAT racing.

I thought Max got the penalty not for the move or any contact but for going off track and gaining an advantage.

For sure Ricciardo's move was ballsy but it looked to me that Vettel made a second move to the inside under braking, sort of a subtle squeeze play at the apex. Got away with it apparently. Seb's comments on the radio won't go unnoticed with Charlie Whiting though...

Don't u think Seb apologizes to Charlie and that's the end of that. Just spouting when totally pumped - you can't hold that against anyone

Indeed but when Max came behind and even along Rosberg , we saw Rosberg going off the track as well and Rosberg got no penalty seconds..

Anyway I'm curious to hear the after race reactions from Max ...
Also... Will Red Bull leave it this way ....?

But I agree there were pro and cons incidents in this race, much happend in the last laps...

Personal I think "not everything" was handled properly...

You think Hamilton should have gotten a penalty for cutting the first turn?

Agree with you on Vettel, Max held him up for Ricardo.

There was more in the first turn ...

Max and Vettel had a penalty....OK , but why not Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg both were off track in first lap ?

Check this out => http://www.skysports.com/f1/news/320...k-on-first-lap

Hamilton's RF disc glazed which caused the lockup. It showed a 300C to 350C temperature differential vs. the LF disc at the same point.

I knew that move by Vettel looked sketchy! What a mess...
It was a fun race to watch though.

Not very consistent by FIA. This cutting corner bs has gone on for a long time and I'm glad they finally took action on Verstappen but HAM should have been given the same penalty. He over cooked the 1st corner, locked up and then rocketed into a huge lead by cutting across the grass. ROS did this many times during 2014 on HAMs expense and it's total bs. Hopefully FIA will consistently punish a car that keep position after over cooking a corner and going off the track. It's a pure driver error or equipment failure and keeping position by cutting a corner is cheating. 5s penalty is fitting IMO. Seb drove dangerously and acted like an @ss and also deserve his penalty. It was exciting to watch though

+1;

except that I think that HAM's advantage was neutralised by the safety car. ROS was sort of pushed off track by VES, and he gained from cutting the first corner.... I am VES fan because he continuously is on the limit of what is allowed. VES deserved this penalty, VET deserved it too, his action on RIC was a bad act of frustration. The radio message was even worse. I think he should be reprimanded for that even more.....

in the end the classification is as it should have been on track, and the FIA looked ridiculous for taking decisions the way they did.
