I'm interested in the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S SUV tyre — I've not seen any reviews, yet, though. Love them as a sports car tyre

Bridgestone has a selection of replacement RFT tires for a BMW X1. Here's the link: https://www.bridgestonetire.com/vehicles/bmw/X1

I’m on stock tires 225/50/18. How wide can you go without having clearance issues in the wheel well, and will the wider tires adversely effect the AWD system? Also, would the bigger tires void my warranty?? Just purchased the car last week. 2020 x1 xDrive. Tks.

How they could prove that the tyres could cause the problem is beyond me! How could they establish it? If you were to have a problem, I cannot see them (BMW) telling the tyre manufacturer(s) it is their fault and them admitting it! Can you?

I agree with Peter_R above — provided (a) change all 4 tyres at the same time and (b) you fit the same sizes front and rear (square fitting NOT staggered, as you often see on other BMW SUVs)

With the latest UK spec 2020 LCI X1 M Sport (now in build and due in a matter of weeks) I have ordered NON Run Flats with space saver AND Adaptive Suspension. This combination should give me all the ride options I require.

Even better if you use 18" wheels

Yes. Ordered 18" wheels. The 18" are standard on UK 2020 X1 LCI xDrive 2.0i M Sport.

Conti DWS06's were a nice upgrade from the Pirelli RFT's. Haven't tried them in colder weather yet though, but have been great all summer.

I am using the "Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+", wait for a good deal at Costco and then get Discount Tire to beat it. Love the tires, less road noise and no longer dealing with the runflats which are so expensive to repair.

How's the ride with those? I'm looking at replacing 225/45/19 Conti RFT for your size (245/40/19) non-RFT? According to tire calculations, it's 20mm wider, but 3mm shorter so I'm a bit concerned with a shorter sidewall.

I would like to see a little more longevity, knowing I will be giving up some summer performance. Then again my x1 isn't a sports car like the 330 Ci |

Just installed the newly updated Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 plus.
Lobe them so far. Quieter than the Goodyear Eagle Sport run flats they replaced and very comfortable on poor roads |

Well. I pulled the trigger and picked up a set of new shoes yesterday. I already had the spare, jack and tools so it was about time. A close friend who's a supervisor at a tire shop hooked me up with a set of 245/40 ZR19 Conti DWS06's. The added width looks much better and so is the ride. I really wanted the 255/45 ZR19's, but the wheels are only 8" wide and that size would need an 8.5" wheel. Time to sell the Conti RFT's.
