Hi & 25D MSport ordered

Hi all. Usually find me on the UK F30/31 forum having had a F31 335D for a while now but that's going next week & yesterday I pressed go on a factory build 25D MSport in EB . Ordered the driver comfort park (front/rear PDC, cruise & extended lighting, folding mirrors & heated steering wheel (have this on the F31 & love it).

Might add privacy glass but wanted to keep it back to basics & the car is pretty well spec'd as stock.

Have driven the 20D Xline in auto & the 20D MSport in manual & both seem to go well enough so hopefully the 25D will feel rapid enough after the 335D.

Not seen any EB cars as yet, test drive one today was in mineral white although I did see a M2 on the route

Look forward to having a decent read of the rest of this forum section, what I've read so far has been very informative.

Cheers, Simon

Hi Simon and welcome to the X1 world - I am sure you will enjoy your M-Sport

For sure the list price keeps creeping up (well, not so much creeping) as you hit the options - my xLine 20i ended up at more than £40k and I do not have panoramic roof or heated wheel

This was my first car with Privacy Glass and I do like it - goes particularly well with the Mineral White

One thing that has caught peple out - if you want voice control you have to spec Enhanced Bluetooth

Most of us who have the HUD rave about it - but again, an expensive option

Hi Bill, cheers for the reply, I'm looking forward to it for sure.

Quick Q. Can EBT be coded in? I have ProNav in my F31 but didn't have EXT but got it coded in along with a few other options.

Hi Simon

My first BMW so I can't answer your question (although I suspect the answer will be no as a lot of what I read on the forum indicates that items are not as "fully featured" as on previous or higher spec models)

I'll pm Shawn the coding guru & ask. Appreciate your help & better to get it right now, while I have the chance to amend my order.

Hopefully it's drier up there than down here. Whatever it's doing I'm sure it won't spoil your enjoyment. We all might have to wait longer for some pictures though! Have a great day.

Congrats! Enjoy the drive home, then the hours sitting in the car in the driveway working out how everything works!
