BAVSOUND install question

I got the stage 1 system and have a quick question. I sent BAVSOUND an email last night but so far have not gotten a reply.

I noticed one pair has filter in the cable while other pair doesn’t. Anyone knows why? Kind of confusing as HIFI doesn’t come with tweeters. Not sure what purpose filter serves.

I installed cables with filter in the front, but now I got to take everything apart again as cable is making contact with the glass and making noise.

Thanks!

Probably standard to ship as I know a lot of folks tend to retrofit tweeters up front when replacing speakers.

Not 100% but would be my guess. Either way, nice upgrade!

Another question.

I ended up breaking white rectangular shape clip that circular plastic piece attaches to (by door handle).

Anyone knows what the PN is for the part? I think I overtightened the screw....

Thanks!

By the way, BMW design is absolutely the worst to work on. I’ve worked on a lot of cars and never ran into as many issues as BMW.

Hi,

I'm not sure if you are referring to front door or rear door. Do you see that broken part in these pics?

I installed Bavsound speakers on my own. here is one thing you should notice

when you first install the speakers, they refused to work first 30 minutes. I did not unplug battery and that happened. so I locked the car, went back home for 30-60 minutes, came back and speakers started to work.

I emailed Bavsound but no luck.

hmmm... interesting. I wonder what would cause the speakers not to work upon installation and start working after an hour (after locking).
