You need to remove the standard muffler (with 1 pipe), replace with a muffler with 2 pipes (X1 S2.0). Then you cut out 2 "holes" in the bumper/trim for the exhaust pipes. (total cost in Europe +/- 650 dollar)

And some one thing, does the exhaust has an electronic valve that regulates the opening of the right pipe or I would only have to replace one exhaust with the other one? |

I considered vinyl wrapping the middle part to match the body colour. But didn't find anyone that could colour match near where I am. Not even BossDog.com, which are one of the biggest names down here. Last edited by KPD; 07-15-2016 at 05:15 AM.. |

It's possible that BMW have made a change to the xLine rear design. I was looking at the latest (July 2016) standard specification PDF and comparing it to the May 2016 (which I think mine was built against) and noticed this:
May 2016 - xLine - Rear bumper underbody protection in Black, Grey and Silver matt July 2016 - xLine - Rear bumper underbody protection in Black and Silver matt Haven't seen any pictures but that sounds like a possible change?? |

Go on, the current overuse of differing silvers on the lower rear is odd, almost like they ordered the wrong shade of silver for the part and got stuck with it.
Let us know how the replacement goes ( with a howto ), so we all know whether to do it! |

I like the idea of the twin outlets per pipe, however the performance would also have to compliment the looks.
When BMW release a M chip mod for the 25i (expected to be 285kw v 170kw) to compete with GLA AMG I would do both mods, so that my X1 had the hoof to match the look |
