Now after "Read ECU", I got the CAFD, I am try to modify the Fog to support LED, I can only found the NSW_L_IS_LED in 3060, not 3061 ?

Also, after I make the change to N_akdit, I hit the Save Icon, then Back, then when I hit "Code FDL", I got a message "Please activate an FA first. (G008)..

I am stuck now.. Please help !!

Section are irrelevant as they move around all the time. Focus on funktion names.

Do exactly as instructed; activate FA and proceed as before.

Hi Almaretto, how to activate FA ?

I done the following process : Connect > Expert Mode > Coding > Read VO > Read ECU (CAFD below) > Right click CAFD > Edit FDL > Edit CAFD > Save CAFD Changes (Top Icon) > Back "Icon" > Right Click on Orange CAFD > Only option for me is "Edit FDL ??

If I try click "code FDL" on right hand side, I got Alert message "Please activate FA 1st".

Click read FA then right click where it actually says FA and choose
Activate FA.

Edit: Also read through my other thread for exact instructions on how to disable the warm/cold checks for LED in fogs.

Hi All, me again... after the Fog light coding, I no longer got the error message.. BUT got the following symptom... both fog light on normally for 2min or so, then one side will off, then both off, If I hit the fog light off, then on again, both will back to normal, but 2min cycle will back ?

> Besides the standard NSW coding, I also tested the following, same issue..
3061 NSW_L_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ ->*Dimmed
3061 NSW_R_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ ->*Dimmed

3062 MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 ->*100% : Adjusting voltage output for Front Right*LED*Fog*light.
3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 ->*100% : Adjusting voltage output for Front Right*LED*Fog*light.

3062 MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 ->*100% : Adjusting voltage output for Front Left*LED*Fog*light.
3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 ->*100% : Adjusting voltage output for Front Left*LED*Fog*light.

> Is my next solution is to install "Canbus" adapter ? Also, my understanding is that's a big resistor, is that safe ??

The Fog LED I am using is 6500K/3500K switchable,, When it light, it's very bright

Overheating leading to thermal cut-out? The look like they're designed to fit into headlamp units, where there may be better air circulation around the heatsink?

...but I'm no expert

Hi, has anyone managed to change the minimum speed for folding in mirrors, I believe it is set to 18mph as default, can this be raised? I know it is possible to raise the auto fold out speed.

So you want to be able to drive on the highway and fold in your mirrors? What is the purpose?

No, I drive in a lot of lanes and handy to fold mirrors in, to slow down to 18mph to fold them in is annoying especially as I am currently in a merc and can fold the mirrors when under 30mph so just use to it (also don't automatically unfold)

I think you are confusing terminology. If you are modifying FA with 544 addition, then you VO Code. Try TM's NCD / CAFD Tool (SVT-CAFD Resource)

I have a question I found under SALAPA the 544 have two blanket with some number as (69) and (9). I don't know what it is. I think the (9) is said there have 9 CAFD function affected by adding 544, but there have only 8 on the right side panel. Is it correct? And I have no idea for (69)???

One more question, why some of the affected functions show (Default), is it mean it should be as the default value and no need to change, just take a look?

Thank you.

The bracketed numbers are E-sys reference points.

The tool is just a guideline, because it does not how your CAFDs are currently set. And, it is sometimes wrong. For more accurate results, you can always use E-sys Coding-Verification and then utilize NCD Compare.

Coding error after car is serviced :(

Guys, im getting an error now when i try to read coding data from BDC_Body and the cafd file wont change to a folder to let me edit this.

BDC_BODY [40] [P850387]
readCPS o.k.
CAFD_000017BE_052_010_112 Fehler:
File for "cafd_000017be-052_010_112" not found! [C012]

This worked fine before and i can edit and code BKOMBI ok but not BDC_BODY which is the one i need, i also noticed they have reset my previous coding during the service

I have v59.1 PSdZDATA_Lite do i need an updated version maybe?

After getting the car back from a repair, the dealer had upgraded certain modules to the latest I-Level. V61 PSZD was needed. Now I am unable to code the one-touch turn signal count.

It's still listed as BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP. Before I set it to Werte 04 and it flashed 5 times. I have now tried 01, 02, 03, and even 05 to no avail. It always stays blinking 3x. Any ideas here?

Also of note:
Some ASCM parameters are now changed in the latest I-Step. Ie. SBR_PreWarning is now a hyphen instead of an underscore. Initialwarnung_GWF_IW is now just Initialwarnung. I'm sure there are more.

That stopped working with P3.59.2. Now you use PIA_DEFAULT_TIPPBLINKEN
